Workspace Blueworks Live

To create a exportable account backup of all artefacts and structure, so the account owner could create a account backup, which might be restored even in another Blueworks account.

As an account owner would like to have an option to backup my account and export the back in a form which might be restored in another Blueworks account (e.g.: in case user has multiple accounts or opens new account). The back up should contain all available artifacts, including documents, comments, space structure, etc.

It is possible, today, to copy/move artifacts between BWL accounts, though this has to be done artifact by artifact, I believe. A way to extend this mechanism for all artifacts in an account in 1 action would also be useful.

Hi Tomas, thank you for the idea. Today we can export spaces which includes the documentation, comments and the space structure. Blueprints can also be exported separately and there is some manual effort to get this re-created into a new account. I will look into what the import options for this can be with the team or if we can do the export of the whole account as a whole. This is challenging as over the years, as the product evolves some of the exported items may no longer be valid. I'll update this idea as we know more. FYI, as a workaround, today you could use these exports and our APIs to recreate a majority of what is exported.
