ODM should support one of the latest Oracle database versions

We are running on one of the latest ODM versions - 8.10.3 and are using Oracle 12.1.0 as back end database. There is a DB upgrade taking place in our organization from current version to 19.6.0. The applications which ODM interacts with are all set to start pointing to this latest DB version.

When we referred the detailed system system requirements page for this product; we got to know that unfortunately ODM 8.10 is certified to support only until 19.3 Oracle version.

ODM should be compatible with the latest DB versions. Can we have it certified on Oracle 19.6.0 version?

    Hello Marie,

Thank you for the update. The update we received is next year active support for Oracle 12c will get terminated by the vendor. So, the upgrade is planned to be completed by end of third quarter(September 30th) of this year followed by lots of testing in Q4 to ensure that applications are stable. Everything related to DB upgrade is planned to be wrapped by end of this year.

We have following request and need your support with our situation.

    • Need ODM 8.10.5 to be certified on Oracle 19.6.0. (FYI - This ODM version is already certified on Oracle 19.3)

    • Need the certification to be completed by end of July 2021. This will give us about 2 months for DB migration from (12.1.0 -> 19.6.0) for all ODM environments. Followed by that thorough testing with downstream / upstream applications in Q4.

    Regards,

    Nilesh

    Hello Marie,

Thanks for the update. Does this mean quarter 4 of 2021? Are we expecting a new ODM version (8.10.6) to come up which will be supporting the 19.6.0 Oracle DB version?

    Regards,

    Nilesh

The status has been updated to "Planned for future release"

Could we get a tentative timeline by when this change is expected? This will help us to plan the things at our end. Thanks !
