Digital Business Automation Ideas

Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea

Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests

The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notifications on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Please use the following workspace to raise ideas for these offerings for all environments (traditional on premises, containers, on cloud):

  • Cloud Pak for Automation - incl Business Automation Studio, Business Automation Insights

  • Business Automation Workflow (BAW) - incl BAW, BPM, Workstream Services, Business Performance Center, Advanced Case Management

  • Content and Capture Services - incl Filenet, Automation Document Processing, Daeja, Navigator, Content Collector, Enterprise Records, Business Automation Content Analyzer, Datacap, Automation Mobile Capture, CMOD, CM8

  • Automation Decision Services (ADS) - incl ADS, ODM

  • Robotic Process Automation

  • IBM Blueworks Live

SAML 2.0 support for IBM ODM certified for Kubernetes

The users of IBM ODM certified for Kubernetes need to access the IBM ODM via our enterprise login which is currently running Microsoft AD Federated Services (FS).

For our IBM ODM certified for Kubernetes to authenticate to Microsoft AD FS, the policy maker has enforced SAML 2.0 as the only means to communicate with our Enterprise AD FS.

We've checked the IBM ODM technical documentation and also verified with the IBM technical support Yen Ra that SAML 2.0 Request For Enhancement (RFE) was planned to be supported in 2020 R2 but have no ETA yet.

May I request for a RFE availability date as we require the SAML 2.0 support soonest for our project.

    Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to suggest this enhancement to IBM Operational Decision Manager. Your request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme aligns with our current roadmap and, as such, is being tagged for consideration for the release at the end of the year. IBM may consider and evaluate any community feedback for your request through activities such as voting and we may reach out to you about this request to discuss additional details with you in the future.

If you have any additional feedback or thoughts, or if there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to comment.

Please note: IBM's statements regarding its plans, directions, and intent are subject to change or withdrawal without notice at IBM's sole discretion.

    Sincerely,

    Marie Girard

Offering manager, IBM Operational Decision Manager
